How do I know if I need therapy?
If you have been looking online about therapy, what it entails and how it works, this suggests that you may have already realised that you would like to talk to someone. No issue is too big or too small to bring.
Is everything kept confidential?
Absolutely. Everything you say will be confidential. As part of adhering to the BACP Standards of Good Practice, I do discuss my work with my Therapeutic Supervisor, but all personal details will be kept anonymous. The only time that I may need to break confidentiality is if I believe that there is a risk to you or to others, and I would discuss this with you first if at all possible.
How long is each session?
Each session lasts for 50 minutes, held once a week, always on the same day at the same time.
How much is each session?
Each session is £65, payable weekly after each session.
How long will the course of sessions last?
This will depend on your personal needs. Sometimes only a few sessions can make a difference, whilst you may want to address deeper issues over a longer period of time. I therefore offer open-ended therapy, where the number of sessions isn’t fixed but determined by your needs. I also offer short-term therapy if there are one or two specific issues that you would like to work on.
Where are the sessions held?
I have a private practice, working from my therapy room close to the centre of St Albans, and from therapy spaces in both Luton and Wheathampstead. The St Albans and the Wheathampstead spaces are accessed by stairs. There is a therapy space at Luton which is on the ground floor and has disability access. If required, please mention this when contacting me.
Is there parking?
All have nearby free parking and are accessible by public transport. I can also offer therapy online or via telephone.
